The sky darkens as a storm moves into the valley. The air grew dense as rain fall coats the ground with a glossy finish. The flowers bloom and soil become soft, damp. The thunder slowly taps its surroundings with a low thud or pound. La Menra and Magenta stand in a meadow as life around them seemed to flourish.
The old wolf sniffs the air, then sits down as the rain soaks both of them. “You know,” Magenta says slowly. “That during a storm, when the thunder sounds, it is said that it is like the heart beat of life.”
